The Park West Gallery Rembrandt Collection
In our 40 year history, Park West has been a world-wide source for collectors of original etchings by Rembrandt Van Rijn, the artist viewed by so many as the greatest etcher of all time.
The active and archived Park West Gallery Rembrandt Collection includes more than 20 rare 17th Century impressions and nearly 700 different impressions from the posthumous Watelet, Basan, Jean, Bernard, Creery and Beaumont receuils. In addition, it includes multiple examples of some, but not all, of the Millennium Impressions.
Park West Guarantee of Authenticity
Every Rembrandt etching purchased comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Park West Gallery. Park West uses only established sources (listed below) and their trained experts in addition to conducting our own thorough research and authentication. This allows us to guarantee authenticity and authorship.

Antique Etchings
For acquisitions of antique Rembrandt prints (printed approximately 100 years ago or earlier), Park West has used only the most respected and established sources for Rembrandt etchings. These include the international auction houses Sotheby’s, Christie's, Swann Galleries, Hauswedell & Nolte, Ketterer Kunst, Galerie Gerda Bassenge, Bonhams and Butterfields and others. By using only established sources and their trained experts, then conducting our own thorough research and authentication, we are able to assure authenticity and back the works with our certificate of authenticity and guarantee of authorship.
We currently maintain relationships with Print Department Experts from auction houses, including Mary Bartow, Senior Vice President; Director, Prints of Sotheby’s, New York; Tudor Davies, Department Head, Prints of Christie's, New York; Todd Weyman, Director, Prints of Swann Galleries, New York and others who assist us in the research and authentication of the Rembrandt works we sell. The Millennium Impressions
The Millennium Edition is comprised of 2500 each of eight etchings printed directly from original copper plates created by Rembrandt. It is the only printing of original Rembrandt etchings from existing plates, where the edition size is exactly known and specifically limited.
Park West took over the distribution and release of the Millennium Impression Rembrandt etchings in 2003 from the previous owners of the plates and distributors of the etchings printed from them.
Park West has sold out of several of the eight Millennium Impressions Rembrandt etchings. These works can now only be found in private collections and through other galleries or dealers.
The market for Millennium Impression etchings was established before Park West took over the distribution in 2003, with numerous galleries and dealers selling the works internationally. Examples in the market currently offered outside of Park West typically range in price from $3500 to $10,000.
